Because Whitney and I are completely obsessed with Harry Potter we’ve started a tradition of making a Hogwarts gingerbread house for Christmas every year (well, every year we can be together). In case you don’t remember, here was our first try:

This year, Whitney and I got to go to Harry Potter World in Orlando, so we saw a real-life Hogwarts up close! We also learned to cut the gingerbread before baking it. It worked a lot better.

We also added Hagrid’s hut, the Forbidden Forest, and in the back (you can’t see it) the Great Lake.
So what do you think? Are we getting better?

That is so cool.
Love it!! I still think our huge, very mis-shaped Hogwarts was better. ;) We are kind of late on our Christmas festivities this year because of the move, but we will be making a gingerbread house soon!
Thats a great idea! Good job!
